About Me

OUAT.AboutMe2016Hola! Hello and a very warm welcome! I am so delighted that your curiosity, or perhaps coincidence has brought us together! My name is Claudia, but I tend to go by Sparrowhawk, mostly just Hawk, though. I am married and have four beautiful children whom I homeschool. I am the lady of the house, as well as the wisdom of the house who, slowly and with much progress is embracing her role as a Proverbs 31 woman. I am also hopelessly in love with the Man from Nazareth who I fully believe is the Messiah. Together with that, I am completely infatuated with the history of Israel and cannot wait to see Her take Her rightful place on Earth; it is the groan of my heart!

Over and above, I am incurably gluttonous about books, and for pleasure I delight in: teaching, fishing, sewing, embroidery, crochet, musicals, video games, movies, anime, Korean & Japanese dramas, poetry, folk music, early church history, dining out, writing, photography, telling stories and spending time with my family & friends. In fact, I L O V E my family and friends with every single bit of me, and would give my life for them in order to see His Kingdom come!

My Soul Called Life is my humble abode ― a place where I delight in sharing the journey of my beating ♥ and the bits & pieces of my labyrinthine soul. More recently, however, I’ve taken on sharing my thoughts on books! I like words; I love them a lot actually.

  1. I love your blog, Claudia! I saw a comment on a fellow blogger…”Sparrowhawk,” captivated me. (Maybe it’s the Cherokee side that was captivated.) Anyway, I’m glad that I stumbled upon your blog. I love your spirit.

    1. Hi Dulcinea,

Wow! Thank you for such a kind and thoughtful comment I must admit that Sparrowhawk is a name I stumbled upon through an animated film. But I can see how it can come across as a Native American name

  2. I love your blog! I see it’s changed a bit Loving the layout. I especially enjoy the part above where you said you are “incurably gluttonous about books.” What a great statement! What a great way to put it. I too am “incurably gluttonous about books.”

    1. Oh Esther, to be quite honest with you, I do not believe I will ever reach the model of perfection as a Proverbs 31 woman, but I am willing to embrace my struggles in it Baby steps is better than nothing!

  3. Wow – your “About” description is the most beautiful I have ever read! I too love Jesus, books, and my family! So glad to have stumbled upon your page this “Teaser Tuesday”!
